IBEW Local 234 provides Electrical Contractors working throughout Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz County with skilled, knowledgeable Electricians and Apprentices. Our objective is to help our contractors and our members prosper by providing the most productive, quality-minded, and safest workforce available for the customer. ESSAY CONTEST
IBEW Local 234 is offering three (3) $500 scholarships to high school graduates – one each in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito County, who will graduate during the current school year and who meet all qualifying criteria. Essays must be received by March 9, 2012.

New Website Demonstrates Benefits of PLAs
A new website has been launched that describes project labor agreements and their benefits to cities, communities, and the economy of the state of California. This website is intended to be a resource for local labor councils seeking to enter into project labor agreements, as well as for local government officials who are seeking useful information about PLAs.
